What Happens When You Visit

Please keep in mind that the psychotherapy I provide is a collaborative process.

The first meeting – is a special time to check whether you feel comfortable enough with me and you are ready to give me some credit. Besides, I would like to know what your initial therapeutic request is and how it relates to my expertise.

An Informed Consent for Psychotherapy and a Confidentiality Statement has to be arranged at the beginning of therapy (in writing or verbally).

We are going to arrange the estimated number and frequency of sessions and the method of payment.  Ten (10) sessions once a week are suggested. You may pay by cheque, cash or INTERAC e-Transfer after or before each session.

You are welcome to question any aspects of the therapeutic process.

You have the right to end therapy at any time.

Meanwhile, it would be more beneficial for you – to plan finishing therapy, and to let me know about your plan in advance (at the end of the next-to-last session or at the very beginning of the last one).

It is preferable to have face-to-face therapeutic meetings in the office; and sometimes under some circumstances, I work over Skype.
